Drank from a 1 pint - 16 fl. oz. can purchased at Fort Point Market, Boston, MA
04/08/21
Served in a tulip
The appearance on this was very strange. A four-finger tall plume of large, sticky, light magenta bubbles rose above the completely opaque, plum colored body. The head displayed amazing staying power, barely moving at all within the first few minutes. After a bit more time, the crown dropped slightly and deposited some chunky looking lacing. By the drink’s end, a clumpy wall coated the entire glass.
The aroma was outstanding and definitely lived up to the beer’s namesake. Berry notes dominated. Both raspberry and blueberry were quite apparent. Big creamy lactose presence as well. Some vanilla was also detectable. This totally reminded me of a berry topped slice of cheesecake.
The flavor profile was rather unusual however. Berry notes again came through strong, but they were far more tart and acidic than I anticipated. Somewhat sweet in the center. Vanilla and lactose were noticeable. More berry-like tartness and acidity on the back end and the finish. Somewhat tangy. Overall, this tasted a bit “off.”
The mouthfeel was somewhat underwhelming. Medium bodied for the style and fairly under carbonated. The acidity level bordered on enamel stripping.
Watercolors - Raspberry Blueberry Cheesecake Creamee is a bizarre beer that both looked and tasted like it curdled, and I believe it actually had. The silver lining on this was that the aroma was still great.

Rarely see anything from Skygazer but I've been seeing more of their offerings in this neck of the woods, so when I noticed this available via a single can up at the Bottle King in Wayne a few weeks back, I figured why not? As odd as this turned out to be, it was true to form and description although I can honestly say that in my nearly 16 years on this site, that I've never seen or had a beer that was quite like this. Make of it what you will!
Berry? It's here. Ditto for the cheesecake as the pour was a dead giveaway that this would be something I'd have for dessert. Cloudy, muddled, and topped off with the biggest, boldest, longest-lasting bubbles I've ever seen in a brew, the head just wouldn't quit and left behind a chalky, cake residue as they finally burst one by one. Forget lacing - the side of my pint glass looked dusted more than anything that soap or sugar would leave behind. Tart berry, slick juice, cheesecake, cream cheese, and a bit of milk sugar filled the muted nose as the taste was just as thick and reminiscent of a smoothie that somehow got fermented and left out for a night or two. Plenty thick, this was not a smooth sipper as it took a while to get down and lack of carbonation was also a factor of my session with this.
The amount of alcohol in this was pretty low as this indeed, felt like a milkshake but with a low amount of malt and more of the feel of a Kettle Fruited Sour. Sure, it was nearly a session beer but only one of these at a time would be enough for me. Dated 6/4 on the bottom of the can, this felt fresh and had an 80's look to the label that went along with the dated nature of this beer. When cheesecake isn't around and a Stout's too heavy, this would do as it stretched the possibility of what beer could be. Fun, for at least one go around!

16 oz can purchased at fort point market , dated 4.9, opened 6.12, poured into a teku
Can notes : Berliner style weisse beer with raspberry blueberry cheesecake cream flavor and milk sugar
Reddish purplish plum colored smoothie sludge liquid with carbonation cappped by a big bubbled purplish two finger cap that looks like it has a dusty coating . This looks wild and weird . The cap will not fade, very long retention . Gloppy unattractive lacings . Tired of waiting for the foam to recede and I take a swig , settles to a big bubbled puffy island
Aroma is raspberry, blueberry , sweet fruit, cheesecake , slightly sour cream cheese, sweet sour aroma
Taste is sweet tart raspberry , blueberry with a sweetness , cream cheesecake…it’s as advertised
Mouthfeel is low sudsing, mild tartness
Wild mind blowing visually as a beer . Seeing is believing . Tastes and flavors as advertised . Would make a great mystery beer for a BIF. A wild and crazy beer
