“Year 2067. With diminishing escape velocity, Traveler initiated its hyperdrive. Converting the forceful pull of the Event Horizon into manageable energy. They catapulted from near destruction, instead deep into aether-space. Vision became transformed by sheer speed. Presence reshaped by magnitude. Redefining the human mind and human form of the entire crew. The sum of their collective pasts became unfathomably remote and as distant as Earth’s fading sun. They became part of the beyond. The new real. They became... neophysical.”

Chapter Two continues the Traveler Series forward with a blend of Idaho 7 and Simcoe resulting in a citrus forward, tropically aromatic, creamy and smooth NEIPA.

The pour to empty the contents of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug unfortunately produces the norm for the modern IPA. There's such a ridiculous amount of stark white foam generated, a traditional IPA drinker would accurately argue that this isn't a true version. For those that haven't seen this mess before, there's an excess of stark white foam on top of an opaquely dirty blond liquid. The foam recedes unevenly, although this one isn't the worst offender, leaving almost no glass lacing. The aroma is a blend of strong hops; some sort of resinous and citrus collaboration. But, there's also a starchiness that's definitely not predominantly barley malt. Just a political injection, barley malt used to be an integral part of anything considered an IPA. It remains important to some old school IPA lovers. Now, to taste, it is sweet, but not malty sweet in the complex and somewhat earthy way barley malt can add to a brew. This sweetness is almost sugary sweet and it's annoying. The hop counterbalance pales in comparison. The mouthfeel is thin for its category, it's even thin compared to an adjunct American mass produced lager. This is an overly sweet, insufficiently hopped and almost bodiless attempt at a good category of beer. But, the artwork on the can was nice.

A: The beer is very hazy pale whitish yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of lychee and orange are present in the nose along with hints of pine.
T: The taste has flavors of lychee with hints of orange citrus. As the beer begins to warm up, notes of pine become noticeable, but then fade out. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This New England-style IPA has nice aromas and flavors of tropical fruit and drinks quite easily.
