Chapter Three: Year 2068.
“The crew accepted their new reality. They understood the journey was now endless. The ship stabilized and they let their tensions fade. Traveler sped calmly, and silently through the depths of the unreachable. A pale presence appeared in the distance. It grew closer. This aberration was far from expected. What they began to observe was haunting, peaceful, endless. Sums of time. Forming of stars. The edges of eternity. Never to be seen by anyone again. They surrendered their return home, to experience what could never be experienced. The pinnacle of consciousness.”
Chapter Three celebrates our exploration of Amarillo and Columbus hops. We wanted to see how Amarillo, typically known for it’s tropical, citrus and rindy notes paired up with Columbus. Typically expressing dank, weedy, earthy and resinous aromas and flavors. We’re thrilled with the outcome!

Turbid and opaque; good head production, retention, and lacing. As far as hazy IIPAs go, the color is a bit darker (more brownish) than I'd like, which isn't a good look in a murk bomb.
A very hoppy nose that is otherwise mysterious; it's a blend of juicy and bright herbal hop notes. Very pleasant, but difficult to pick out individual notes.
It better presents on the palate, with lush notes of tangerine, mandarin orange, mango, pineapple. Sadly, there's a bit of hop staleness at only two months old. It's otherwise quite nice, although it's still a bit of a melange.
Creamy and lively, presenting well for 8%, but there's also an awkward powdery aspect.
This is a beer that is almost great right across the board, but ultimately falls short in pretty much every aspect. An enjoyable beer, but Skygazer has done much better.

A: Pours a murky slightly darker than medium golden honey in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate peach + apricot + bright orange + bright yellow + burnt orange + copper + medium golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of medium thick film coveirng a little more than 35% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film coveirng the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit rind + tropical/mango + earthy + dank resinous hops over the top of light to moderate armomas of biscuit + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of sugary sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of sugary sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit rind + tropical/mango hops along with moderate to strong flavors of earthy + dank resinous hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away fairly quickly leaving moderate lingering citrus + dank resinous hops flavors.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of creamy soft/fluffiness mid-body with a light amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a very pleasantly creamy soft/fluffy + dry mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a nice combination of citrus + tropical + dank resinous hop flavors and aromas.
