Go Fast features an abundance of crushed almonds and a huge payload of cacao. It drinks clean and smooth without being overly thick or cloying. We find huge flavors of milk chocolate, candy bar, smooth cacao and a pleasant roast note that leaves you craving the next sip.

16 oz can served in a beer goblet. A 21 February 2022 canning date is stamped on the bottom of the can.
Pours near black with dark brown edges and a decent beige head. Good mild aroma but not outstanding like the bitter-sweet flavor. There is a strong note of chocolate here along with hints of coffee and almonds. The full, slight oily body is exceptionally smooth. The high ABV is partially hidden.

Very nice pour. Deep rich brown. Nice head, not too thick and didn't stick around, but clings nicely to the side. Interesting smell, faint notes of something not typical of beer. Taste also, different. Says almonds and cacao nibs, I do not enjoy it. Good rich texture, bit too much of that added nibs and almonds.

Big dark appearance; dark brown body (nearly black), opaque; huge head, tan colored, dense and creamy; a bit of coffee lurking. Moderate roasted grain smell infused with light touches of cocoa and vanilla. Big dark roasted malt flavor enhanced with almond tones; milk chocolate; vanilla and cocoas; light fusel alcohol taste around the finish. Heavy body; slick and smooth; delightful residual sugar body.

A very nice imperial stout, well-balanced, thick and tasty.

Pouring temperature: 43 °F; canning info: 02/21/22

2022 16 oz can. Pretty solid drink. Loads of aroma upon opening. Deep mahogany / ebony color. Little head, but lacing in spades. Flavor is deceptively simple. At first, I thought maybe this was a meh beer, but it’s actually a winner: balanced flavors, deep dark malts, a little acidic coffee cleansing vibe. 10% ABV hits a little harder than some 10%ers. A little over $6 for the can, but well worth it.

Can from the packie.
Inky black color with a stingy tan head that slowly recedes. Chocolate roast licorice caramel brown sugar and hints of nut. Earthy bitter roast to counter. Sweet and sticky but its a nice sipper.

Served in a snifter glass from the can.

Appearance: opaque black body with a dark tan head which rose initially one full fingers length. Drops very slowly before the first sip looks beautiful from initial poor.

Smell: mocha aroma which hovers the nostrils.

Taste: very rich nutty feel which consists of vanilla bean, cocoa and espresso.

Mouth: the brew from the beginning is sticky and very dense. Body has a soft carbonation with an aftertaste that just lingers all the way to the back of your tongue.

Overall: seriously should have bought a few more very rich beer which honestly should be in your crosshairs if you ever see it on yourself at your local beer spot. Salud!

Very good head production; decent retention. Very attractive beer settled in the glass, a classic imperial stout with a dark brown head.

Lovely American stout aroma. The almonds and cacao don't prominently stand out from the mix, instead adding to it, with notes of espresso, nuts, light to moderate char and toast, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, red grape, molasses.

Thick on the palate, not quite chewy, and with just a bit of fizz that detracts only slightly from the overall experience. Nice warming chest heat long after the sip.

Flavor profile is nice and rich, semi-sweet, with a lovely nutty almond presence on the back third. Slightly sharp prune-like notes, along with caramel, chocolate, espresso, molasses, lightly toasted bread, brown sugar. The cacao is mostly complementary, becoming noticeable primarily by mid sip and again on the finish.

This is an excellent flavored stout. It borrows from a long and successful tradition of thick, rich, semi-sweet American Imperial Stouts (a la Evil Twin), and the added cacao and almond are more than simply complementary: they are noticeable on their own merits, but don't ever rise above the mix so much that they overwhelm. You never forget that you are drinking an American Imperial Stout - or a beer, for that matter. This is a lovely overall experience.
