A good, robust NE IPA!!! Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, this beer features a hazy yellow color, a medium sized foamy white head with excellent retention and thick foamy bands of lacing on the glass. All the NE flavor and aroma elements are here and are quite strong. Up front is the grapefruit and tropical fruit aspects followed by a strong presence of biscuity, dry malts. The "dankness" is quite apparent too. Mouthfeel is moderately bitter and crisp. Good balance between hops and biscuity malts. This is an enjoyable and well crafted beer.

Traveling around all part both near and far, Skygazer Brewing stumbles upon enough El Dorado, Azacca and Columbus hops to put together a juicy, hazy, imperial strength IPA that become a beacon of hop for the thirsty.
Their Traveler Series: Beacon becomes their forth chapter in this hop endeavor, pouring a pale golden taupe and cast in a largely matte finish. Accented with tropical, stone fruit, citrus and dank herb, the scent precedes a creamy-sweet taste of cereal, cream candy, honeysuckle and light pastry crust.
As the sweetness starts to relax, the hop flavors pick up where the aromas leave off. A bounty of grapefruit, orange, apricot and peach all seem candied with sweetness while nuanced flavors of passionfruit, mango and orange seem to carry a tangy and under ripened character. Trending herbal, bitter and pleasantly grassy, the late taste is hoppy with fresh spruce, tea leaf, lemon pepper and peppery cannabis.
Full bodied, creamy and trending malty-dry, the beer finishes spicy with gin-like botanicals and a peppery heat that keeps the hop bitterness in the foreground. A long extension of hemp, grasses and fruit peels decorate the lasting and bitter aftertaste.
