Murky tan color. Tart plum and cherry aroma and flavor with light marshmallow and gingerbread character. The flavors don’t blend really well. OK balance; tart > fruit. Light to medium bodied fruit/dessert drink.

It looks like murky brown river water with vibrant carbonation bubbles and no discernible head. I smell cherries, lactobacillius, marshmallow, tangerine, and gingerbread. I’m tasting marshmallow, gingerbread, cherries, and tangerine. The mouth is highly carbonated and sticky.

Looking to the sky and flowing down the hatch, Skygazer is out to give the palate a little present for the holiday. Dressed in cherry, pear, plum, tangerine, gingerbread and marshmallow, their Christmas Creamee is the gift that keeps on giving.

Flooding the senses with an appetizing aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, pitted fruit and delicate spice, its juicy aroma leads to a sweeter taste of fruit smoothie equipped with heavy cream, vanilla, shortcake and wafer. All this is in juxtaposition to its heavy silted, yeasty and nearly grotesque pour.

But then the fruit flavors abound as the richly textured ale coats the middle palate. More tropical than anything, there’s a strong pineapple, passionfruit, papaya, kiwi and mango character the pulls from the beer’s underlying sourness and supports the juicy, citrusy and cherry overtones. As an alcoholic fruit cocktail, the beer favors tartness even as the persistent grain sweetness and fruit sweetness begs to differ.

Full bodied, rounded, smooth and densely sour, the session is best paired with a spoon and a straw.
