Cherry LImeade isn't just for the drive-thru's anymore. Skygazer brings that otherwise kid drink into the adult world by introducing it to margarita. It's marriage made in sour heaven.
Muddy with rust and rouge, Watercolors Cherry Limeade Margarita teases the nose with a blend of pitted fruit, berry, citrus, cider and wine cooler. Sweeter in taste, notions of sourdough, pixie stix, pastry and agave provide a cereal buffer before the acidity arrives. Tart with lime, lemon, white grape, green apple and gooseberry, the margarita flavors steal the show after an initial punch of red berry, cherry and grape. Finishing with a peppery tartness, the session carries a smooth roundness of vanilla and salinity in true margarita fashion.
Full bodied for sour ale but assuredly off-cloying, the beer shows a measure of refreshment and drinkability despite it's candied finish.
