Two Roots Enough Said Helles, 0.5% ABV. Pours slightly hazy golden with a 1.5 finger white head that left decent lacing. Nose is yeasty bread. Taste follows, slightly sweet, slightly bitter. A bit over-carbonated. Overall excellent. It won't sway me from regular beers, but if I ever have to do without alcohol, it would be on my list.

Bottom of can shows a best by date of 12/15/2022. Going to assume a one year shelf life then? That means this is just a few weeks old.

Zero hiss when opening the can; not sure what that means. Guess we'll see. Pours a slightly cloudy pale straw with one finger of rapidly vanishing head. A minimal amount clings to the sides of the glass. Smells... goddammit... skunky. That's 2 for 2 in skunked non-alcoholic beers this month. It's not as strong as the one I had yesterday, but it's never a pleasant scent in any quantity. There's a graininess in the background, too. Doughy, I guess, you could say. Tastes, unfortunately, as it smells with maybe an added lemony component. Could be a hop addition or could just be something that was planted in my mind after reading the label. I'm not crazy about the flavor, but will say that it drinks very easily. It's rather like your typical light AAL in that regard. I'm granting bonus points for it's approximation of beer. Tastes a little bit better as I get deeper into the glass. It's ultimately drinkable if you just want an NA beer to crush, but if you're going to stop and savor this the way you would a normal craft beer, you'll probably be left wanting. Or maybe you're less of a cunt than me and can just appreciate things for what they are.

Pours a large frothy foamy pillowy 2+ finger head with great retention, foamy whispy lacing, very hazy med golden-tan color

Nose brings big cereal grain and pilsner malt, grainy-sweet bready malt, typical raw wort of the good NA beers, honey sweetness, some corn, and light floral grassy hops

Taste brings lots more raw wort and malt flavors, grainy-sweet doughy bready pilsner malt, quite a bit of cereal, some bready doughy corn notes, light sweetness and rich malt, all malt up front but hops kick in hard on the back end, starting with low bitterness increasing consistently to a med-high crisp bitter finish, grassy floral herbal hops turning to herbal spicy and getting very spicy late,

Mouth is med to a bit lighter bod but soft lager and crisp finish, getting a bit astringent though, with med-higher frothy carb

Overall this was very well done for NA beer, quite a bit into the Helles style without the deep malt complexity but that's OK for NA beer, the hops get a bit aggressive on the finish probably due to lack of actual malt sweetness, so I'd like to see that dialed back a bit. I'm def going to try to find more of these.

Pours clear, gold in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is doughy malts and grassy hops. Medium bodied, low carbonation, slightly bitter. Really good for the style. Nice beer to throw back and not think about. Could have several.
