A hint of vanilla adds a subtle sweet character to this highly drinkable blonde ale that is perfect for both the new craft beer drinker and the seasoned veteran.

Vanilla front, smooth and medium body. Great beer that creates an adventure.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into chilled glass mug. Amber colour with a finger width white head. Smells of vanilla and weak fruit. Tastes like a typical mild blonde ale, "vanilla beer". I'm not really a big fan of blonde ales so I'll rate this one as average. A fan of this style may enjoy it though. Prost!

12oz bottle from the brewery.
Golden with a bit of chill haze and a creamy white lace. Soft, cereal-grainy aroma with some light vanilla notes. Very creamy, smooth and medium bodied. There's a hit of vanilla first, then a light citrus and grassy bitterness, some bread, mild grainy astringency and a dry finish. Unfortunately the flavors are very short-lived and the beer becomes duller with each sip.
I'm not sure what a Vanilla Blonde Ale has to do with "the Okies who crossed the Cali border," but overall I'm not a fan of this lackluster offering.
