16 oz can

A huge truncated POP from the cap as I snap the lid, and we're off. Silky inky black body with an angry red head of 1 finger.
Aroma is wonderfully laden with cinnamon and peppers, with some dark chocolate brownie thrown in for good measure, and a whiff of well articulated alcohol.
Flavor is almost all peppers and cinnamon, but has a slight lick of chocolate behind it. Some stale coffee, slight black jellybean, and hop particulate.
Feel is thick and viscous. Nice burning from the cinnamon and the alcohol.
Overall not bad, not great, I think I sat on this a bit too long, all the sweetness is gone.

I enjoyed this and am enjoying it right now. The chiles, cacao nibs and cinnamon all come through in moderate amounts. Nothing hiding, but nothing overwhelming. It's somewhat of a filling beer. Would definitely have again.

Good lord! How am I the first one rate this on Beer Advocate?!?!?!
Alright, here are my thoughts.
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a nice looking dark brown close to black color topped with a slim eggshell white semi-foamy head subsiding at a nice pace. Barely any lace.
The aroma had some cinnamon sticks, ancho chilies, dark chocolate nibs, some fudgy/milk chocolate sweetness with maltball/wafer crisp character, somewhat dry.
The flavor milked the sweetness of it all through a dry sort of way then a slight ancho chili spicy to cinnamon of sorts. That sweet malted milkball wafery character came in nicely then a mild aftertaste of earthy dry spicy cinnamon to wafery quality.
The mouthfeel was between medium and full bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt appropriate. Finish was extremely dry with some stickiness to it, light cinnamon.
Overall, pretty damn good imperial stout well worthy of having again.
