Poured into a tulip, the appearance was more of a murky bronzed orange/brown sort of color. Quickly dimming on the head, it left some light messy wispy lace in a concave effect on my glass.
The aroma balances fairly nice between candied peaches, stiff bubblegum, piney wood and an ever so slight glance of mango puree.
The flavor absolutely leads with the sweetness of the prior mentioned aromas carrying an underlying piney bitterness trying to make a play in this department but honestly, it's super faint. Mild aftertaste of sticky candied peaches and mangos.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Not cloying but some stickiness. Appropriate low key carbonation. Semi-smooth finish of candied and stiff bubblegum.
Overall, there's plenty of this style on the market, and this doesn't grab me the way I was hoping for. It's not a bad beer just not one I'd seek out again.
