Prized Nelson Sauvin and Nectaron hops from New Zealand provide a range of tropical fruit flavors and a beautifully balanced bitterness in this IPA inspired by a far off land.

Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Brigand chalice. Powerful nose of apricot and green melon. Sudsy and crisp on the tongue with a light but malty body. Just a hint of sweetness and some grainy malt flavors. Tastes of green apricot with a little orange and a hint of pineapple. Moderate bitter aftertaste. Overall, this is highly drinkable and aromatic with a lively mouthfeel. From the 16 oz can purchased at the Dust Bowl tasting room in MOnterey.

Pours a clear golden straw with a finger of foamy head that slowly dissipates to a thin ring with some lacing. Aroma of pineapple and pine. Taste follows nose. Resinous.

Hey not writing the first review for a beer in some time. Silver medal! Anyhoo, total Nelson hop whore here, so yeah, I purchased this beer.
Pours a yellow with a light haze that isn't substantial enough to talk about the hazy ipa sub style. 1/4" white head. The aroma isn't that heavy dank weed garlic onion body odor you've come to love/hate with Nelson, its significantly modified by the Nectaron hop. So basically some apricot and peach juice to divy up the narrative.
The taste continues to go harder for Nectaron than it does Nelson. That ain't a bad thing, Nectaron is cool. Juicy stone fruit. Average 55 ibu levels I would speculate. Dude, Monster Mash is on, I'm tired of that song, Halloween was just like 9 days ago. I'm not really getting the commercial tug job about tropical fruit. Its stone fruit driven hoppiness.
Its not a bad beer, but with the heavy Nelson branding, hardcore Nelson fans might be disappointed to taste Nectaron pushing the most weight. But it ain't bad, its still good.

Can poured into a Dust Bowl Brewing Co pint glass
A: Pours golden straw with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Citrus zest, light tropical and stone fruit, grassy, resinous pine, floral, crackery malt, and just a touch of sweetness.
T: Resinous, zesty citrus, grapefruit and a touch of lime, floral, underlying fruity notes, gooseberry, white grape, pineapple, passion fruit, apricot, and peach, a bit grassy, a touch of pine, crackery malt, and a touch of sweetness.
M: Light to medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Kinda delicate, doesn't feel like a 6.8%, Not bad, but for a beer with Nelson and Nectaron it's very meh.
