Sampled 7/23/2011 on tap at Beer Revolution. I really did NOT want to call this simply "Belgian", and Beer Revolution called it "Belgian Dubbel", but the Dust Bowl site has this:

"Belgian – 8.3% – A dark Belgian Style Ale brewed with piloncillo sugar. It has a malty and slightly spicy character."

Pours slightly hazy brown/red, nice white head and good retention, not much lacing.

Aroma is sweet bubblegum, some caramel, bananas, and a touch of pepper. Strong aroma implying a lot of flavor but not necessarily a good flavor.

Flavor is heavy on the bubblegum and sugar followed by some fruitiness, a bit of bread, and a little booze.

Body is a little heavier than it should be. Drinkable but too sweet.
