Home roasted coffee beans from Cameroon and a pile of cacao nibs take the already chocolatey notes of this porter to the next level.

Crowler poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery snifter
A: Pours basically black with a frothy cocoa brown head that settles to a light layer and leaves some spotty lacing.
S: Roasty, some char, earthy, bittersweet chocolate, black coffee, dark fruit, a hint of spice, and burnt sugar.
T: Roasty, earthy char, black coffee, bittersweet baking chocolate, dark fruit, cherry and plum, a little toasty, a hint of spice, rounded out with burnt sugar sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly creamy.
O: This is an OG Dust Bowl beer. I remember drinking this before I joined BA. It's been in and out of their rotating line up, largely out, so when I saw it re-emerge this time I tried to find a way to acquire some.
Drinks exactly like I remember it. Maybe not my favorite coffee beer, but still a tasty time capsule that'll always be hard to turn down.

Had this one from tap at the brewery's restaurant. Pours with a darker cream color head. Nose is mostly roasted malt, coffee, and a hint of chocolate. Taste is bitter coffee on the front. Finish is smoother with subtle chocolate. Very good.

On Tap into a Tulip
A- Jet black body, 1" khaki head
S- Intense coffee, milk chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts
T- Mocha frappacino, milk chocolate, vanilla, slit hoppy bitterness
O- Did i just order a mocha frap from starbucks?! This stuff is freakin delicious! I've tried many coffee/chocolate porters and this is the first time i can say that you could buy this at starbucks and never have known it was a beer, until you walked into work buzzed. Amazing. I can drink this all day.
