2nd Chinese beer. Bought in Phillipenes.
Poured no foam. Light beer color. Not really any smells going on. Taste is slightly malty. Generic beer flavor. Macro tasting but very light and watery. Not impressed and wouldn't get again if given the choice.

This beer pours a clear golden color with a sweet rice malt aroma. Not much hop taste or aroma. Smooth easy drinking Chinese lager. Better than average. BOD 4-14-2024. Total Wine & More

incredibly affordable never before seen global lager from the asian market, where i have found curious beers in this style space in the past, always worth a look there! cant say its anything special, but ive long had a fascination with drinking lagers from far flung places, and this really scratched that itch for me. insanely blonde, like almost watery thin looking, clear and bubbly, giving rise to nearly an inch of white head but it settles back fast, great carbonation to it the whole way though, lighter than straw colored. the nose strikes as pretty cheap right away, but distinctively so, like not corny or sweet, but definitely a little metallic, light sulfur, but there is appreciable grain in here too, even some hops that i can pick out, wet printer paper, some green glass stink but its not like way off from fresh or anything, despite its long journey to my glass. there is a grassiness, maybe some rice type starch, and very light sweetness and floral character if i am being more generous, and everything i can smell i can also taste, some aluminum as it warms but its not gritty or tangy like these can sometimes be, and the finish is relatively quick, like its well enough lagered for what it is. it would be better it brown glass, but it grows on me as i work through it, and it ends up being gone top to bottom in ten or so minutes, its so light its easy to drink, and i dont drink a ton of beer flavored beer, so this actually hit for me last night. would be good with spicy or oily food because of its lightness and lively mouthfeel, insanely light in body and indeed thin feeling, but the carbonation saves it. not great beer, but unlike others in an incredibly samey style space. asian market for the win! not good beer objectively, but a fun one to rip!

Poured into a Reuben's Brew pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a fine, half finger white head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of pilsner malt, skunked grassy hops, light husky grain and a touch of lemon. Flavor is pilsner malt, light grassy hops, some corn adjunct style, light sweetness, a little skunk in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. I approached this with wariness, it being an Asian lager in a green bottle, which promised a so-so lager experience with skunking. The aroma delivered on the latter and was subdued. The first taste was a pleasant surprise, however. Although the flavor is attenuated as expected for the ABV and origin, it is pleasant and quite drinkable, except for some residual skunking in the aftertaste. There is some subdued pilsner-like character, but the mild sweetness, harmless taste density and light hop bitterness reminded me of adjunct lagers; inoffensive and easy to drink, but without much character. Nice head an looks good in the glass too. It is smoother and more pleasant to drink than most other China lagers I've had and if I visited, I'd watch for this one, but would definitely get it in a can to avoid the curse of green bottle.

One of the better commercial lagers in China, where most people seem to enjoy watery beers. Most people in China seem to know it’s from the border region of Xinjiang but I did find out the brand is owned by Carlsberg now. Smells of honey and floral. Taste is quite flat but very malty, also slightly sweet. Aftertaste is also quite flat...
