Brewed with 6 different kinds of hops across the boil and fermentation, this potent Double IPA combines big hop flavor with just a touch of New York Honey to sweeten the batch and smooth out the sips.

One of the best traditional "East Coast" ( not to be confused with NE style ) style DIPA's I've had.
Deep amber color, superbly clear, tall, frothy head, great lace cling.
Aroma is malty, nice cooked grain balanced with lemon grass and evergreen hop spice.
Flavor is rich and complex - excellent raw grain character, nutty flavors of honey dipped pecans and brown bread in front of tart fruit and spruce tip notes from flavor hops.
Outstanding.
Medium bodied and deliciously satisfying, warming alcohol and grassy hop finish.
Truly a fine brew in the SNCA family of red type hoppy yet balanced ales.

Had the pleasure of having this directly from the tap of the Hex and Hop Brewery. My wife, who despises IPAs and refers to their taste and aroma as “Donkey’s Ass” sampled a taste. She proceeded to willingly order her first ever IPA and loved it. So did I. Their beer and hops are infused with honey harvested from their own bees which makes for an amazing and smooth brew. 9.1 never tasted so sweet. I bought 2 32 oz Crowlers to take home. I may never come back to Lake Placid, so I will keep these cans as a remembrance of one of the best beers I’ve ever had the pleasure of drinking.

Had this on tap at the brewery. Pours a clear and clean orange/red color with a light off white colored head that laces a bit on the way down. Smells of big roasted malts followed by some floral hops finishing with a sweetness from the honey. Tastes as it smells, a nice older style IPA with a roasted/toasted malty base followed by a honey sweetness, finished with the floral hops. Medium bodied, perfect amount of carbonation. Overall excellent!
