A fairly solid porter offering, perhaps enhanced in score for the general lack of availability of this style. Pours and looks like a porter. Aromas and flavors aren't very complex, but clearly differentiate from a stout. Only real downside is that it's pretty watery. At this abv it should be chock-full of flavors and medium bodies. This one's too thin.

On draft at the brewery.
Pours a hazy dark brown color with a finger of tan head.
The aroma is caramel malt, brown bread, and brown sugar with a hint of smoke and chocolate.
The flavor follows the nose: Some smoke, chocolate, caramel and brown bread. A faint hint of hops on the finish.
The feel is a bit light in body with moderate carbonation. Drinkable but a tad thin and watery.
Overall, a pretty decent porter that's drinkable and accessible. Not much else to say.

Solid porter. Nice heavy smokey taste. Bit one dimensional.
