It comes in at a relatively high ABV for its ilk, but a full pint from a tap in a clear glass seems like a good idea. It's that darkish caramel color, shades lighter than a cola, but darker than copper. Bright and translucent enough that fingers may be seen on the other side of the glass. A malty aroma and no head, which is the norm for something this potent in this style. Of course, it drinks toward malty sweet, but it is very light on the palate; almost too thin for its ABV. That's not to say there's too much alcohol to taste, because it's well hidden. Other than a little caramel nuance, it isn't very complex, as some really good Bocks can be. Overall, it's a rather pleasant high ABV brew without much character. Times are that's good enough.
