I purchased this one at Purvis Beer in Melbourne in December 2023 and drank it a few weeks later.
L: Murky, dark caramel yellow with a fluffy, short-lived head. Carbonation can be seen in the stem of the glass.
A: Dank tropical fruit with mango and lychee prominent and a rich malt body.
T: Very bitter and piney, with tropical notes per the nose. A strong caramel body sits under the hops and balances the bitterness. Bitterness lasts longer on the tongue. There is no hint of alcohol.
M: Full body with sharp carbonic prickle. Hop burn lingers in the chest and mouth after the swallow.
O: This is a big, bitter beer, exactly as a double IPA should be.
