It’s clear that we love to experiment with hops. We have a new variety that we were lucky to get our hands on. Southern Passion is a hop grown in South Africa and is extremely limited to get a hold of, so when we found some, we got as much as we could. We paired it with one of our favorite hops, citra. The blend of these two hops illuminate aromas and flavors of lime, guava, pine, and undertones of unripe pineapple. We’re glad we got some to try out and hope you enjoy.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on July 7, 2019. Look is mid-haze light amber with a thick foamy head and lingering lacing. Nice tropical fruit notes.

Poured from a 16oz can that says “Keep cold, drink fresh”, yet lacks any packaging date. So no idea on age and how that may impact this review.
Pours a gorgeous, hazy straw yellow with a huge, pillowy white head. Nose is over-ripened pineapple, some mango and white peaches. Taste follows the nose up front with some earthy bitterness that follows. Nicely balanced. Mouthfeel/finish is a bit gummy, though, which leads me to wonder the age and storage conditions.
Overall a pretty good beer that I hope to try fresh one day

A month or so of age on this. Not sure if it’s faded or i can’t remember if it wasn’t as juicy as some of their others. Pours cloudy orange with mild yellow hues. Mild foam and lacing. Smell of dank hops, orange, lemon, grassy. Taste is dank, bitter, citrusy. Medium bodied, mouth watering, good alcohol presence. Pretty good.

Great as all of their IPAs have been so far, but maybe not my favorite. It looks great as always, and mouthfeel is full and soft. Not too sweet with just a bit of bitterness. Worth buying in the end for sure.
