A bit faded on the adjuncts. Orange/yellow, cloudy, big creamy white head. Strong smell of coconut, vanilla, guava, and citrusy orange. Taste has all of those-coconut and guava on the forefront, some orange and lemon and vanilla underneath. Light to medium body, creamy milkshake feel, definite booze presence. Giving the taste a quarter point more than it is now because I remember being more impressed with the strength and balance of the flavors a few weeks ago.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on August 2, 2019. Brewed in collaboration with Weldwerks Brewing Company. Milkshake IPA brewed with guava, coconut and lactose. Hopped with Mosaic and Sabro. Decent.

Semi-opaque orange body with a finger of fluffy white foam. Smells has sweet coconut, passion fruit, vanilla, and a finishing note of lush guava. Taste brings these flavors to fruition within a sweet and creamy matrix, plus add some slight minerality to balance, a touch of star fruit thrown in too. Finishes simultaneously sickly sweet and bitter, balancing together. Feel is frothy, creamy, bright, and sweet but not all the way to cloying, nice milkshake body. The wife liked it more than I did.

Canned 7/31/19; drank same day (!) @ the Yarchives.

Opaque orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a nice white head; strong, frothy lace.

Guava, cream & coconut notes in the nose.

Creamy, medium thick mouthfeel.

Guava & vanilla flavors up front; mild coconut notes on the finish.

Each flavor is distinct but work harmoniously together. An exemplary milkshake IPA.

Is this even beer? It's a sweet dessert and I'm loving it. At least in the beginning of the pour, let's see if the sweetness gets to me too much. Why didn't I have these beers around when I was underage and had to force the terrible tasting beers down just to get a buzz? Of course I probably couldn't afford at $17 four pack very easily at 18 years old anyway, and I would be buying White Claw.

It's not a particularly pretty NEIPA (if that's what class this falls into.) The smell is sweet and the taste matches. It's very reminiscent of Hop Buther's Blazed Orange as one would expect. I feel like I remember liking the DBO the best between this beer and the regular milkshake BO. I'm glad I bought this and would buy it again. worth the hype if you like the sweet milkshake DIPAs for sure.
