Pours an orange/tannish with a mild head and minimal lacing. Smell is slightly citrusy of orange and lemon. Taste is the same tangy citrusy flavors with a bit of a floral and wheatiness on the undercurrent and just a hint of bitterness on the aftertaste. Medium and fully bodied, stronger than I expect considering the flavor, definite booziness, mouth watering. I’ve mentioned before that Phase Three seems to make a lot of New England style and that many of them seem to be just rehashes of the same thing over and over. But this one seems distinct-I really think the Lotus hops bring a bit of lush tropical flavor and feel that their traditional New England IPAs lack. Pretty good.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on January 31, 2020. Citra and Lotus collide to create a beautiful expression of citrus and tropical fruit.

Released 1/29/20; drank 1/30/20 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a huge eggshell head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Peanut butter, wheat & mild citrus notes in the nose.
Creamy medium thick mouthfeel.
Peanut butter, wheat & orange citrus flavors.
Mouthfeel is nice, but this isn't what I'm looking for in a IPA. Passing on this moving forward.
