I received a can from @FBarber in a BIF. Poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It pours a cloudy, pale tangerine color with a very large, firm, fluffy, milk-white head and thick, creamy lacing. The smell is bold and fruity with tangerine, pineapple, ripe melon, and lemon. The Medusa hops really shine in the aroma. The fruit flavors really pop. There is abundant pineapple and tangerine, lemon, and grapefruit, along with notes of mint and bubblegum. As the glass warms a bit there is also a hint of cream. It finishes rather dry and only slightly bitter. This ale has a big, creamy mouth feel with moderate carbonation, and you can feel the 7.7% ABV. Overall, Contoured View is a highly fruity and flavorful DIPA. I don't recall drinking an IPA hopped with only Medusa and Sabro before but the combination works well. I enjoyed it.

Had on tap. Thought I uploaded this review, whoops. Anywho, tropical neipa with melon, pineapple, and papaya leading the smell with some citrus and pear close behind. Taste has some bubble gum in there too, grapefruit emerges with tropical fruits, dryer than nose let on. Feel is both hazy and dry, hops are not very bitter or defining in the feel.

Interesting take on the style. Gold orange color. Smell and taste are sweet with a tangy back bite underneath, some orange, lemon, and grapefruit notes. Light to medium bodied, soft, slightly thick and full mouthfeel. It’s not overly juicy, different hop profile than I’m used to from both this brewery and this style. Pretty good.

Pours an opaque vibrant orange with two fingers of fluffy white foam. Head retention is great. Aroma is papaya, tangerine, mango, guava, lemon zest and doughy bread with a squeeze of lime. Tropical fruits are big and pronounced with a zing zesty citrus. Flavor profile is mango, papaya, grapefruit, bubblegum, tangerine and lemon zest with a spritze of doughy bread. Tropical fruits are top notch here, but the little cut of bubblegum takes it down a notch. Mouth feel is creamy with a very light, rindy pulp. It has a medium thickness. Overall, zesty and flavor profile with high quality tropical fruits, although it is slightly undermined by a little Big League Chew bubblegum.

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegalau tulip from a 16oz can.

Pours a hazy, light orange with a one-finger white head.
A wonderful smell of citrus hop, melon, and other soft fruits.A slight lemongrass as well.
The taste follows the nose in which the balance is nearly perfect. Slight dank ness errs on the side of my taste.
And incredibly soft and smooth mouth feel. This stuff is straight butter!
My first phase 3 in which I will continue seeking out more. A wonderful double IPA!

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on March 4, 2020. Imperial India Pale Ale brewed with Medusa and Sabro hops. Notes of tropical fruit juice.

Released 2/26/20; drank 2/29/20 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dull orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a big white head; a thick curtain of frothy lace.

Melon, sharp pear, mild banana & faint dry grass notes in the nose.

Soft, medium mouthfeel.

Soft melon & sharp pear flavors up front; dry grass notes on the finish.

Soft yet sharp, a nice balancing act. I enjoyed this one.
