Collaboration with Standard Meadery
We got together with our good friends at Standard Mead and made a big Triple IPA with twice as much orange blossom honey as our first collab and gave it complimenting dry hop of Enigma and Medusa hops. Pinot gris, guava and stone fruit with a citrusy and distinct honey profile providing balance in this big ten percenter.

Pour looks like honey water or weak orange juice. Mildly creamy frothy head and lacing. Smell is pineapple, citrusy orange and lemon, bit of sweet honey. Taste is tangy and dank. Juicy pineapple, but of grassiness and pine, a mild honey sweetness underneath. When cold, almost light bodied, but as it warms and rounds out, it’s definitely medium bodied and has a boozy punch, but it’s surprisingly subtle for a triple IPA. A flavor packed beer that delivers.

This is another Phase Three colab with Standard Mead. Its made with orange blossom honey and dry hopped with Enigma and Medusa hops. It comes at in at 10% ABV. You can definitely smell the orange right away. There is a nice sweetness from the honey and it's smooth and citrusy. HIdes the alcohol very well.

Released 5/27/20; drank 5/28/20 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange/yellow appearance.
A violent pour yielded a nice white head; frothy lace.
Honey, wheat & lemon notes in the nose.
Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Honey, lemon, booze heat & mild wheat flavors.
Somehow more balanced & less honey forward than the lower ABV version? I liked this.
