Aroma: Strong aromas of orange citrus, orange flesh, tropical melon,, pineapple. Smooth and sweet, tropical orange flesh. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong and smooth flavors of tropical, orange, orange flash, tropical pineapple, smooth melon. Smooth, juicy, tropical. (4.00)
Feel: Medium, heavier, body, carbonation, smooth, mildly sweet. (4.25)
Compared to Phase Three DDH Synchrophaser 11/2023: Pours darker, milder head. Stronger aromas. More orange flesh and creamsicle. Less grapefruit and mango skins. Smoother and creamier.
Compared to Phase Three Tonal Range 11/2023: Pours darker, hazier, similar head. Milder aromas. More orange flesh, creamsicle, apricot, pear. Less zesty citrus flower, green pine and melon. Sweeter.

Overall: Lots of orange flesh, some tropical apricot and melon. Interesting hop combination here. Not super familiar with Rakau and Medusa, but sort of a pear, guava, and apricot twist to the orange Citra base flavor. Excellent. (Rating: 4.18)

I think the best part of this beer is the subtlety. It’s got a big hop profile and a citrusy juicy tang, but it’s not over the top. Also has a gentle softness to it. A very well done beer.

Double dry hop. Hazy orangy-honey hue. Whitish lacing icecickle like, soft. Tropical whiffs on nose. Another superb DBL IPA from Phase 3. Citra, hop and finely balanced. A true double IPA afficianado brew. Exceptional.
