Brownish black body with a brown cap. Really coffee is king here. Smell is laced with it, chocolate and hints of maple and maybe cinnamon on the finish. Taste gets more cinnamon, but not enough to be defining, coffee dominates, chocolate hangs around. As always though the feel in the series is clutch: creamy, roasty, percolated, rich, and malt forward. Still a great coffee porter, but don't come expecting a smattering of cinnamon

Significant head with a strong pour, low level of lacing. Great use of cinnamon- not too heavy and well integrated with the coffee. Great thick body you are used to with Pressed porters which are on the thick end of the style. Dark roast is a little one note and here is my personal preference that Phase Three seek out another roaster as Tugboat is not my jam.
Another solid offering in the Pressed series but as the series focuses on the coffee, better coffee would help this immensely.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I was fearful the cinnamon would be overpowering. To me the coffee really stood out in this one. It had a really strong coffee aroma and you could smell the cinnamon at the end. The taste was a strong coffee flavor up front and a nice subtle hit of cinnamon at the end. Very nicely done.

Released 11/6/20; drank 11/13/20 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
A violent pour yielded a big dark tan head; strong lace.
Dark roast coffee bean, mild cinnamon, mild cream & faint milk chocolate notes in the nose.
Medium thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Dark roast coffee bean, cream & cinnamon flavors up front; dark chocolate & faint booze heat notes on the finish.
I'm no cinnamon head, but this is actually well integrated; it makes me hopeful that the Pressed series will become more subtle & enjoyable. A nice beer.

Way too much cinnamon in this one. Loved the look, smell and mouthfeel but the cinnamon is overpowering.
