Don’t come expecting a pastry, you wont find it here. Extremely simple at it’s core. A traditional representation of pale ale malt, flaked oats and roasted barley. That’s it. Roasty, creamy, low ABV deliciousness that will make you appreciate the little things.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours pitch black with a fluffy light brown head. Smells of chocolate and coffee notes. Tastes of chocolate and coffee, nice combination. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

3/18/25 (Chicago, IL) - Cask Pour at The Beer Temple Notes (Chicago, IL) - $9 16 oz hand pull cask pour into a nonic glass. 4.2% ABV, Dry Irish Stout.
Appearance: Rich creamy decedent egg white tan head over a near black chestnut brown impenetrable base. Sharp looking pour. 4.25
Aroma: Rich roast malt, coffee beans, milk chocolate and hazelnut battle in that order. Bold, strong, enticing. 4.25
Taste: Consistent with the aroma plus, with caramel toffee a co-lead with the milk chocolate and roast malt. Coffee still there, but not on equal terms. Nice. 3.75
Mouthfeel: Light and easy, sweet more so than expected, hops are AWOL. Drinks under the listed ABV, nice and easy sweet session beer through the finish. 3.5
Overall: Nice and easy Dry Irish Stout, needs to add more hops and bitterness to make this a regular option on my end. 3.5

Not bad, have had better. Dry, solitary strong stout. Gives an oatmeal and dark roasted malt flavor with a hint of chocolate. Too thin, too mild. I don’t like sipping stouts unless they’re barrel aged. This is merely okay.

Aroma is roasted malts and a big hint of acidity, classic Irish dry stout. The flavor is chocolate, mild fruit, a hint of salted peanuts and a big acidic/roasted malt finish.

Pours a dark shiny black color more brownish around the edges. Completely opaque. Thin, weak tan head dissipates quickly leaving no residual head. Aroma has notes of roasted malts, cocoa, a touch of tobacco and some light creamy notes.
Taste follows the nose with notes of roasted malts, some cocoa, tobacco, a prominent hoppy bitterness bringing with it some pine and earthy notes. It comes across a bit too hoppy for the style. Feel is lighter bodied, smooth, roasty. Moderate carbonation. Dry finish.
Overall a solid Irish dry stout - like I said, too hoppy for the style, but otherwise it tastes pretty good.

"Best by 7/1/22"; drank 3/24/22 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big, noisy tan head; a thick curtain of lace.
Dark roast coffee bean, mild chocolate & faint hop notes in the nose.
Creamy, medium mouthfeel.
Dark roast coffee bean & mild dark chocolate flavors up front; faint citrus notes on the finish.
Extremely flavorful considering the style & a.b.v., but still appropriate to the genre. A home run!

Slate black body with a light brown head, beautiful. Smell and taste are the same: roasted malt, earthy barley, dark chocolate, earth, slight smoke, and very close to burnt toast. Feel is lighter than expected, but decently full bodied, creamy and earthy in an artful way

Served from the can in a Revolution Every-Day Hero glass.
Gotta go back in there for me ma's claddagh ring, y'know. Anyway, for those not interested in references to crappy rom-coms, this stuff pours a deep midnight brown topped by a finger or so of sandstone foam. The nose is a simple presentation of roasted malts, with some light cocoa powder and sweet flowers trying vainly to speak up from the back. The taste brings in more of the same, a showcase of roast and light toast. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a smooth feel. Overall, though I might prefer to try it on nitro sometime, I certainly enjoyed this can, just a nice, simple Irish stout. Good times.
