This double dry-hopped Double IPA was hit with a trio of hops that have undeniably become iconic with beautiful, luxuriously hop-saturated pale ales: Mosaic, Citra and Galaxy. Dripping with fresh squeezed citrus, pulpy stone fruit and resiny hops on the senses.

This drinks like low ABV beer but it is 7.7%. Dry hopped and double fermented, it has strong flavors of OJ and melon. It goes down way too easy but it is a tad sweet for my taste buds. I enjoyed having one. Canned 08/27/2025 into a 16oz container.

Nice pour, soapy lacing. Inviting nose, if a bit harsh. HHJ with a citrus/herbal/floral dominance. Surprising lavender accompanying the forward grapefruit, orange, and pine. Subtle notes of melon in the finish. Maybe some fleeting tropical hints.

From the Carwyn "One" subscription pack, March 2023. Drunk in May that year.
L: Thick, hazy, custard-yellow with a long-lasting, fluffy head. No carbonation can be seen, but then nothing can be seen through the murk of this beer...
S: Mild tropical fruit basket. There's nothing standing out and no giant juice bomb vibes.
T: Mild tropical fruit bowl as per the nose with guava and pineapple as the keynotes, accompanied by a mild and pleasing hoppy bite. Utterly no hop burn which is always a risk with a DDH beer, so extra marks for not burning my mouth with the juice of the hop. There is a definite numbing, antiseptic note in my mouth from the hop load, but it's not putting me off going back for extra mouthfuls.
M: There's that numbing note that is hanging around which might begin to annoy me towards the end of the beer. Carbonation is very mild and the mouthfeel is full. I'm definitely aware that there's nearly 8% ABV in this beer, and there is a definite alcoholic warmth in my body.
O: Avoids the hop burn menace and possibly loses a bit of tropical body as a result. The numbing quality from the hops is certainly noticeable and alcohol is definitely present. Enjoyable and would happily have another one if offered.
Cheers!

OJ colored haze. Nose is grapefruit rind, green onions, and orange slices. Taste is mango, squashed blueberries, fresh squeezed OJ, and pine resin. Big creamy mouthfeel. Very little lingering bitterness.
