Formerly known as West Coast Pixel Density
The concept for West Coast Pixel Density is simple: take our house hazy IPA and give it an old-school vibe. Featuring a bright Citra hop aroma, followed by a dank, bitter initial sip that all sits upon a lighter body with no oats and our American ale yeast that rounds out the overall drinking experience. We’ve been loving dryer IPAs like we all loved back in the day and this is just that.

12 oz. can, canned 04/13/2023. Nine days in the can, another super freshie from Phase Three, acquired as part of their variety 8 pack, and according to my local beer rep, they were quote "very excited" about this release.
Poured to Camp Crystal Lake stemless wine snifter.
A: Pours a nice traditional, classic IPA body. Deep golden orange, lots of fine flecks of sediment visible in the glass, thick finger of frothy white head of good staying power. Decent strands of lacing. This is what IPA's used to look like.
S: Aroma is piney, oily, hoppy. Definitely much more "West coast" smelling than their previous variants of this beer. Much more dank, leafy, resinous smelling.
T: Taste follows, big piney, juicy, hop bitterness. Super herbal, leafy, bitter, this is how I remember them tasting. The pale bready malt backbone is more overcome by dank hop bitterness, but is to be expected.
M: Dry finish, yet semi-quenching and easy-drinking for the modest abv. The creaminess of the addition of oats is noticeable beneath the hop bitterness, but the hops have stolen the show this time around.
Overall, excellent & enjoyable. All of these beers have been bangers so far.

poured from a 12oz can into a CW snifter. pours a light amber to dark orange with a two finger firm white foam head. resin and pine on the nose and taste. touch of citrus in the flavor but not at all a citra bomb. thick, full, malty mouthfeel. nice WC style IPA for sure. packs a lot of alcohol punch for 6.5%.

Great example of the style. Nice hoppy, crispness. Would love for this to be a regular. I just appreciate these beers more and more in the world of adjuncts.
