Our robust, dark imperial porter base received it’s normal dosing of fresh, whole bean Tugboat Coffee and then treated with sweet, sticky marshmallow. The result is a springtime coffee-forward treat best enjoyed fireside.

16oz can, undated but known to be fresh, poured into a stemless wine glass. Enjoyed on 11.01.2024, reviewed from Tasting Journal.
The beer pours a deep jet black color, thick and viscous with minimal head, fizzy with no lacing. The aroma is pleasant, lots of coffee, vanilla marshmallow, stone fruits, big grains, and smooth chocolate. The flavors are nice, lots of rich coffee, slightly acidic, fruity, dark pitted fruits, huge sweet marshmallow character, vanilla, brownie chocolate, very much like a s'more. The mouthfeel is good, coating, smooth, creamy medium body, warm, boozy finish.
Verdict: A nice marshmallow stout. The coffee works well and it definitely has s'mores vibes. A fun treat.

Pressed is a one of my favorite series of stouts. I will seek it out immediately upon release. This version is Marshmallow and it should really be called Toasted Marshmallow. It has incredible body and deep chocolate malt to back up the big fluff of the marshmallow. The toastiness/bitterness from the coffee once again balance this incredible line of beers.

Draft pour into a snifter. Black with a finger of dark mocha colored foam head. Rich chocolate, roasted coffee and subtle vanilla on the nose and taste. Not nearly as sweet as I expected it to be. Also, less chocolaty on the nose with more burnt coffee and roasted malts. Quite tasty though. Thick mouthfeel. I really enjoy this series of imperial porters from P3. They drink a lot like imperial stouts yet have a little less intensity to them than an imperial stout might have, although not by much.

Aroma is chocolate, marshmallows and a strong hint of acidity. The flavor is dark malts, chocolate/cocoa, marshmallows, dark fruit and a biting acidic/slightly sour finish.
