Had on tap. Pitch black pour with a brown ring. Smell features bold maple with dark chocolate, coffee, with supporting bourbon and vanilla. Taste has the same set up but the maple is elevated and rich without being saccharine, so smooth with dark coffee lushly coming in bringing the full chocolate and barrel with. Rich and boozy breakfast stout, viscous and smooth, so damn good.

Matte black with a short mocha foam quickly settling to a bubbly collar.
In contrast to the FOBAB-only blue variant, this is shockingly mature, and quite tasty.
Although starting with chocolate chip pancakes and a smoky maple drizzle, the mildly viscous body has a somewhat cleaning touch of heat that brings the sort of cask notions that remained completely undetectable in the coconut-laden palate tsunami that was b2.

Appearance: Pours pitch black without any head but the thickness of the liquid creates a film
Smell: Maple, chocolate and coffee tones burst out in the aroma
Taste: Chocolate and maple flavors forward with a strong espresso finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low carbonation
Overall: Rich and delicious - very impressed by this brew

Released 9/25/21; drank 11/10/21 @ the Yarchives.
Black appearance.
A slow pour yielded a small, noisy dark tan head which quickly dissipated; almost no lace.
Rich chocolate, smooth maple & mild dark roast coffee bean notes in the nose.
Thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Rich maple & decadent chocolate flavors up front; mild dark roast coffee notes on the finish. Mild booze heat & FAINT wood notes emerged as the warmed.
Great mouthfeel & sweet flavors that manage to avoid being cloying. A damn fine imperial stout.
