Part two of our collaboration with our buddies at Other Half Brewing Company explores the dark side of the spectrum. We each took our favorite chocolate cream sandwich cookies and each hit it with a variation - for Brooklyn Bagel we used an excessive amount of toasted and raw coconut. Creamy chocolate and vanilla with an explosive amount of tasty coconut. Their version, Chicago Doggin', was hit with wild Thai banana - snag some if you can get your hands on it to try them side by side or do a cuvée.

Appearance: Pours pitch black with a sturdy film that coats the glass; leggy
Smell: Chocolate, vanilla and coconut aromatics
Taste: Chocolate and vanilla forward with the coconut developing into the finish
Mouthfeel: Very thick body with low carbonation
Overall: This one had me thinking of the marriage between a Mounds bar and an ice cream sandwich

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stotu with a large dark brown foamy head. Aroma of coconut and sweet fudge notes is enticing. Taste is also a mix of sweet fudge notes with some coconut and a sweet finale. Body is full with a nice oily texture and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol notes. Nice pastry stout with some good balance.

Released 10/9/21; drank 12/5/21 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance; off-white floaties on the surface (coconut flakes?).
An even pour yielded almost no dark tan head; almost no lace.
This smells almost exactly like an ice cream sandwich; milk chocolate, graham cracker & rich vanilla notes in the nose.
Thick, creamy mouthfeel.
This also tastes exactly like an ice cream sandwich; milk chocolate, rich vanilla & graham cracker flavors.
It's SUPER SWEET, but interesting. Best shared amongst, like, 8 people.
