A while back when we did West Coast Pixel Density, featuring Citra hops, it became one of our favorites. This version increases the alcohol and showcases Citra on an attenuated, thirst-quenching, classic West Coast Double IPA format.

Always torn on how to review a beer based on what it proposes to be vs. what it is.
As a 2xIPA, the alcohol is well hidden and there are no obvious reasons not to enjoy it.
As a West Coast IPA, I don't make the connection. Hop profile is very sweet -- like a non NEIPA hazy -- which matches the nose as well as the appearance (Champagne colored translucence with minimal head retention).
I am tired of hazies and northeasterns. When I see West Coast on a label, I want to be socked on the nose by the bitter, citrusy, dank hops. This is not that beer. But it is not by any stretch a drain-pour.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
