Canned 12/28/23 (2 weeks ago)

Appearance: Pours a mostly hazy (10% clarity) light and pale lemon yellow color with a moderate white head. SRM of 6. (4.00)

Aroma: Strong aroma of grapefruit citrus, zesty, pineapple, some vinous white grape. (4.00)

Feel: Medium body, average, carbonation, finishes, juicy, zesty with a slightly bitter bite. (4.25)

Compared to Hop Butcher Urbs in Horto 1/2024: Pours lighter, milder head. Milder aromas. More zesty grapefruit vinous white grape, bitter flower and pine. Less resinous tangerine, tropical pineapple, and berries. Zestier and less sweet.

Compared to BlackStack ...But I Digress 1/2024: Pours darker, stronger head. Stronger aromas. More white grape, guava, tropical melon and pineapple. Less OJ and grapefruit juice. Smoother and less tart. Winner: Black Bouquet.

Compared to Phase Three Doggone Delish 2/2024: Pours lighter, milder head. Stronger aromas. More bright white citrus, peach, and bright berry. Less tangerine, sweet grape and berry. Brighter and juicier. Winner: Black Bouquet.

3/2024: Pours brighter, milder head. Similar aromas. Less tangerine, citrus, pineapple. More floral and green notes. Slightly drier and less sweet.

Compared to Toppling Goliath Broccoli Special Reserve 3/2024:
Overall: A collab with Phase Three and BlackStack out of The Cities. BlackStack seems to do a lot of collabs. Similar Strata and Mosaic, but this has Idaho 7 and Talus added. Two hops I think are excellent. Shows it well with pink grapefruit, white grape, zesty pineapple and hints of green melon. The Mosaic takes a back seat to the other hops and this one is DDH and zesty. I think this Phase Three BlackStack collab is fantastic.

BlackStack can make some great ones, but sometimes hit or miss. Phase Three seems to be more consistent. I think all the work on this collab was Phase Three as that's how this beer tastes. I digress, but sometimes I wonder if these collab trends are for more for marketing than the brewing process of the beer. Nevertheless This Black Bouquet is an excellent Phase Three BlackStack collab!

16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 12/30/21, had 2/8/22.

Pours a hazy yellow orange, with a one and a half inch foamy head with good retention and a decent amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of melon, peach, malt, some lemon. Smells a little grassy with a slightly creamy aroma. Flavors of melon, light lemon, a little grapefruit, some pine- especially on the finish. Tastes a little grassy. Smooth, a little creamy, a very good lighter body, well carbonated.

Solid from top to bottom. Lots of tasty melon, like honeydew, and the hop combo works really well.

Canned 12/30/21; drank 1/10/22 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque yellow appearance.

A violent pour yielded a huge off-white head; strong tree-rung lace.

Lemon, cantaloupe & dry grass notes in the nose.

Creamy medium mouthfeel.

Lemon, cantaloupe & dry grass flavors; faint cream notes on the finish.

Not my favorite hop profile, but this was enjoyable & had a nice mouthfeel. I'd have another...
