16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, orange, pineapple and sweet caramel. Sweet fruity taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Undated can (from most recent release in the last week or so)

a: 2 1/2 finger frothy eggshell white head. medium amber in color. translucent.
s: pine, grassiness. Citrus/pineapple.
t: pine, some pineapple/mango/citrus as well. Decent amount of bitterness. Malt presence but does not detract at all from it's description of being a WCIPA.
m: medium body & carbonation. dry.
o: This is a nice DIPA. The terpenes definitely seem to give it an extra level of intensity (smell and taste).

 

16 fl oz. can, canned 08/04/23, three week old IPA not so bad in my opinion.. Phase Three has been releasing consistent bangers lately so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect..

A: Nice deep golden orange, some nice clarity to the body, not that Hazy garbage. Strong finger point five of frothy white head. Tons of good spotty lacing. Looks excellent.
S: I guess those Pineapple express turpenes come through strong - there is a huge blast of citrus fruit here. Tons of pineapple, mango, lemon zest, orange juice, super pithy, super citrusy smelling. Maybe a minor touch of alcohol fumes, but not distracting nor out of place. It almost gives me 'Voodoo Ranger' kind of vibes a bit, but much more authentic.
T: Taste follows the nose - super citrusy & zesty. Hugely hoppy, good bitterness / resin flavors couple with the pineapple express turpenes. Just enough bready biscuit malt to give this thing a nice balance.
F: Super fresh, clean, smooth, & easy-drinking for the fairly high 7.7% abv. Alcohol content is hardly noticeable at all, this thing is super medium-bodied.

Overall, another excellent DIPA from Phase Three. These guys are becoming one of my newest go to breweries.
