Cellared a year. Pitch black tar body, no head with hints of brown. Aromas of rich vanilla atop the usual rugged charred barrel stout trappings with dark chocolate fudge but pretty boozy even with a year of age. Taste is more dialed in with full barrel more than booze, more dark chocolate and brownie batter for that part. Feel is very warm with booze, vanilla is lighter in cooling for sure, thick, smooth and sticky

Looking like a glass of used motor oil, it's appearance is a staining black with no head at all.
A bomb of vanilla and char, those attributes both come in swinging for the fences over a chocolatey base, never holding back from start to finish. The vanilla is a nice blend, not being too sharp, floral or rich, while attempting to mitigate the char, though that pushes over the edge at times to impart a touch of burnt leaves.

Released 3/24/23; drank the same day @ Hannah & Kenser's.
Black appearance.
A slow pour yielded almost no dark tan head; no lace.
Rich vanilla, milk chocolate, mild booze heat & faint oak notes in the nose.
Thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Vanilla, bourbon heat, oak & some chocolate syrup flavors. As this warmed, it became a boozy bruiser.
Good, not great.
