We teamed up with our buddies at Bottle Logic Brewing from Anaheim, California to make a pecan pie-inspired barrel-aged imperial stout aged for 32 months. Real roasted pecans with notes of vanilla, granola and subtle maple sugar. Plenty of rich chocolatey notes from the base stout and well integrated char, spice and subtle smoke from the bourbon barrels.

500 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 9/28/24.
Pours near black and opaque, thick looking, with no head and some oily smear on the glass. Aromas of pecan, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, oak. Flavors of pecan, bourbon, roasted malt, vanilla, chocolate, some oak. Smooth, thick, fairly creamy, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.
A terrific collaboration. The pecans shine, lots of vanilla and chocolate notes. And this baby has viscosity, too- thick, smooth and creamy. It’s so good, I won’t even complain about wishing there was more of a barrel presence. Oops. Really enjoyable.

Slick as fuck obsidian black but with thin brown edges as absolutely no head is able to build upon its gloopy, gelly surface.
Decadent AF, this thick, sweet, tasty pastry stout is somehow not acrid. Horus take note.
