We partnered with our friends at Binny’s Beverage Depot, one of our very first retail partners we ever worked with when we started distributing beer back in April of 2019, to create this big imperial stout that was aged for 29 months in Binny’s store pick Buffalo Trace Weller bourbon barrels. Our signature imperial stout with notes of chocolate and roast along with the smooth characteristic heat and bourbon notes and distinct char from the long time in casks. No adjuncts or flavors added. Just a great beer aged in great barrels.

My brother in law got a membership for Phase Three a few years ago and we have been taking advantage ever since. This one is roasty dark malt and bourbon barrel. Big boozy and bold. Tasty.

Pitch black tar like pour with a brown cap. Smells strongly of the weller bourbon barrel with the deep dark oak, char, molasses, with chocolate fudge and feint vanillins. Taste follows suit with the amazing barrel, char, molasses, date, and anise standing out, rustic barrel character elements finish is top tier. Feel is warm, thick, smooth, barrel driven. A fudgier version of what central waters does so well with their BA stouts

500 ml bottle into a snifter. A 2025 release, had 7/4/25.

Pours an opaque dark brown, with no head and no lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa, raisin, oak, some bourbon- more as warms, some vanilla and char, light prune. Flavors of bourbon, chocolate, malt, oak, vanilla, some cocoa and prune, light raisin. It’s fairly sweet. Smooth, thick, somewhat creamy, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.

Pretty solid all around and was definitely well worth the purchase. Has a good barrel presence, lots of chocolate notes, a number of other enticing aromas and flavors. It is a bit sweet, though, which held this down a touch.

Poured from a black-waxed 500mL bottle into a Perennial SdC tumbler. Pours a thick black with minimal dark mocha brown foam. Chocolate and whiskey plus light vanilla and smoke on the nose. Taste has rich chocolate and bourbon sting. Really good. Not overly sweet but damn tasty. Thick mouthfeel. Stains the glass as it’s consumed. These Binny’s collabs always have such good barrel presence. This one is no exception. Excellent stuff.

Pours a pure black color that swallows all light in the solar system and has the most beautiful slowly developing mocha colored head you’ve ever seen. Absolutely gorgeous BA imperial stout.

The nose features bourbon and oak from the barrel right after you pop the waxed cap on the bottle, and immediately following is a rich, decadent milk chocolate aromas and a nice roasty malt note. Lovely.

The barrel notes of bourbon and oak set up the sinful milk chocolate and roasty malt flavors to shine throughout the entire taste, that politely relinquish the back of the palate to a welcome warming from the barrel on the finish. Wow.

The mouthfeel is rich and creamy, perfect for this beer. This is so well executed, a truly world class BA imperial stout, IMHO.
