Had on tap. Darker brown with no head. Smells of huge bourbon barrel with rich tannins and molasses laden booze, meeting barley, raisin, brown sugar and big caramel. Wow the taste though: big date, raisin, and plum wash over bourbon soaked oak, molasses, barley, burnt dark honey, minor char, lightly toasted caramel, with a later wave of slight waffle cone, and big brown sugar, with notes of anise and slight prune emerging as it warms. Wow! Feel is warm but so malty and smooth, massive on the palate with a hit of sweetness, but the barrels prevail with the barley in tow. Barrel candy!
