Decanted from a 32 oz (946 ml) crowler into a Same Adams Perfect Pint; canned on 09/19/2020 at the Wolf & Warrior Brewery in White Plains, NY.
A: Pours a very dark brown, nearly black with robust formation of a two to three finger, foam, light browntan head, decent retention, but more limited lacing.
S: Aromas of milk chocolate, vanilla, cafe au lait, star anise, and molasses.
T: Sweet to semisweet. Much more at the medium roast coffee, licorice, molasses and vanilla notes. Flavors subtle and complex. Bitterness strikes an excellent balance.
M: Full bodied with low to moderate carbonation. Smooth, not quite at the level of creamy.
O: Peaceful Warrior is a very drinkable and enjoyable American Stout. Thought there would be more fruity hop character on the nose (based on my friends take at the brewery), but still enjoyed it immensely even 10 days out.
