Served on tap in a 12 oz (355 ml) beer can glass at the Wolf & Warrior Brewing Co. in White Plains, NY.
A: Pours a near black with deep brown highlights, a fleeting, light brown head, low retention and little or no lacing.
S: Aromas of coffee and chocolate. Cookie maltiness.
T: Semisweet to semidry. The flavors run dark chocolate to black coffee initially with bitterness taking over entirely as it warms.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: Drinkable and easy on the palate. Appreciate that the ABV has been kept low (consistent with the style) and that no "flavoring adjuncts" have been added. Solid.
