On a hot day sometimes all you want is an easy drinking beer... but you don’t want just any light beer because you’re a hop head! Well soak yourself in this sunny libation brewed with Pilsner malt and British oats, bursted with Simcoe, then dry hopped with NZ Kohatu hops. The crisp notes of lime and pine are bolstered by a subtle background of tropical fruit making this the ultimate summer refresher.

Picked this up recently at the Bottle King in Livingston, along with a bunch of other single cans from breweries that I hadn't heard of before. Surprised to see something that was an IPA, with so little alcohol to it, but this was relaxing and enjoyable enough without having any harsh edges to it whatsoever.
This poured like orange juice with a light and hazy milkiness to it as it had one of the biggest heads I've seen on a beer in quite some time! Very little lacing was left behind with only a few bubbles remaining near the top of the liquid. The aroma and taste were both soft and exotic as there was some tangy citrus, farmhouse funk, and exotic hops in the mix but nothing was strong or overpowering from start to finish. As this warmed up, the taste became more outdoorsy and turbid as the carbonation was lively with little noticeable malt presence.
Booze? I'm sure it's here somewhere but I never felt it and it would have been easy to have another can after finishing this off. There were some bits of dark sediment at the bottom of the liquid, and a date of some kind would have been nice, but I still enjoyed this regardless of it's age. Just a bit slick and moderately floral in the aftertaste, this would be better on a warm summer's day but even during this endless winter, this was a nice diversion from the heavier brews that I've been drinking as of late!

L: Lightly hazy straw colored.
S: Bright NZ hoppy aroma.
T: IPA light. Like almost all the beers I've had from Ghost Hawk. Well balanced body to bitterness. Clean ans easy drinking.
F: Light body, medium carbonation.
O: Goes down almost too easy on a hot day. Refreshing.

Good drinking beer. Good varietal of hops - simcoe, nz, etc. smells citrusy and tastes a bit farmhouse style / ipa but not overly bitter. Solid brew - recommend.
