a flavorful and well made shandy here, i love how low alcohol it is, and this huckleberry edition has a gorgeous stained glass purple color and high clarity, unexpectedly beautiful and a nice summer drink, even if its a little too sweet to be all the way refreshing. if there is any citrus in this, its lost to the huckleberry pretty well, jammy but natural enough on the berries, like huckleberries are sugary fruits, they just are, bold and forward in nose and taste, some light linger with the residual sugar, but its authentic and good. i get very little grain to this, maybe just a little bit of lager yeast coming through as it warms, a light tang as well, and a rush of very bright carbonation on each sip. its surprisingly not thin for being this low in alcohol, and it seems very modern to me, a good wine cooler or even seltzer crossover for those type of drinkers, even a non beer drinker would probably like this, heck little kids would like it, it tastes like juice. i wish it were a little drier, it would serve its thirst quenching and session purposes a little better if it was, but its hard to argue with these flavors. a higher level of quality overall than i have gotten used to from these guys, they seem to have turned a corner recently as i have been pretty stoked on many of their latest offerings. good for them.

edit: man has this gotten sweeter? still a nice looking purple beer with some head and some huckleberry appeal, but holy cow, our group had to blend it with a belgian white this weekend to even make it palatable, seems almost diabetic on its own, on my teeth forever. reducing the mouthfeel score only slightly, but they need to dry this out a bit for more summer drinkability.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Ruby colored pour, thin, fine head. Aroma has the huckleberry edging out the lemon, which carries over to the taste. Fruity, berry flavors with a hint citric tartness. Very refreshing.

16oz can that boasts a 'Tasty AF Huckleberry Lemon Shandy', poured into a tulip.

A: Bright, inviting reddish-purple with a small off-reddish-white head that doesn't lace at all.

S: Sweet berry characteristics, lemonade, somewhat sugary with mild tartness.

T: Same as the nose, clear huckleberry notes with a light layer of tartness blending with some sugary sweetness and lemonade characteristics.

MF: Light, spritzy juice-like body with good carbonation.

O: A delicious fruit beer with plenty of huckleberry and sweeter lemonade character. Hardly a beer, but definitely tasty.
