Draft at brewery. Pale straw color, hazy, skimpy white head. Light citrus aroma. Muted grapefruit in the taste for flavor, still a sizeable hop bite. Not much to this except for the lingering bitterness

Crowler poured into an IPA glass. Pale hazy straw/gold with a small fluffy white head. The Citra pops with tropical, citrusy notes of pineapple, stone fruit, melon, and coconut. There is a green zingy-ness too, which works for me in this brew, lending an almost earthy layer of hop flavors to the tropical fruit and citrus. Floral, soft, pillowy, with minor bitterness. I liked this one.

not bad, all citra, a little green bite to it, not as cleaned up and nice to drink as a whole bunch of their other recent hoppy offerings have been, but its a fine expression of the hop, citra obvious, and its nice and fresh, i guess its more of an evolution in the brew house than a total transformation, but this is still trending up for them. quite hazy, a little dull in the glass but lots of bubbles and a square inch of head on it, so it looks fine. the nose and taste are the same, even though its a single hop beer its not one dimensional, as this has some bitterness too and some pineapple and mango notes behind the more familiar classic dry hopped citra profile. its not quite clean in the ferment, and not exactly light despite the modest abv, its filling a little, even with the high carbonation, not grainy either, just sort pointlessly yeasty. that said the citra is cool because its bigger than it often is, and it stays with me awhile, some oiliness to it that i dont usually associate with this varietal. good with spicy and rich foods, but they make better ipa than this already...
