On-tap at Western Collective in Garden City. Part of the 12 Beers of Christmas, a small-batch run of 'The Stout' with double the vanilla. I enjoyed the original Stout/Vanilla in a can earlier this year, and was surprised to find another variant offered on-tap only, since the other 'Stouts' were all can-only. This was dense and dark with a small ring of mocha-lace. I have to be honest, I was hugely impressed with this, it is incredibly full of bourbon character without being hot, boozy, or off-putting. The vanilla is strong and creamy and meshes with the base beer incredibly well. In such a small quantity, its hard to say for sure if this would be cloying over 16-or-so-ounces, but this is an incredibly rich, bourbon-forward, authentically vanilla stout that I would say rivals BCBS, in ALL seriousness. I loved it.
