the next in their lager series, can looks similar to the first one, well made beer, but not as light or as distinctive as i hoped, i always want these to be bone dry and snappy and without much malt flavor, but this comes in a little bigger, almost nutty even from the grain, although it is dry and well carbonated, just a little more to it overall than i like in the style. close to clear, blonde in color of course but not yellow, and with an average white head on it but lots of bubbles rising up. aroma is simple, i dont get anything floral at all from the rice, no real sweetness, just a light biscuit thing, soft baked character, very light herbal hops, simple but less is more in one of these. the flavor is about the same, the malt is what stands out, and its not the rice piece. i like the bitterness on the swallow, comes up quick and then its all gone. some grassiness, light lemon maybe, but not all that flavorful on the whole. lively feeling, a bit more body than it needs, but objectively well made. lots of innovation from these guys lately, most of it has been solid. good food beer here but not as light and crushable as the best of them...

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Pale golden, clear, fast disappearing head. Grainy, biscuity aroma. More graininess in the taste, mildly sweet, light lemon. Smooth feel, tiny bitter bite at the finish. Could be my new summer lager.
