Hazy Pale

nice take on the style here, nothing off the charts or anything, but a plenty drinkable hazy beer, squarely in the pale ale, not ipa range, which i think is a dying art in a world where everything is dry hopped to oblivion, not that this isnt robust, but theres no bitterness at all and it stops short of being so intense. simple branding on this one, straight forward, but id love to know what the hops are. i almost suspect this of being slightly fruited, it has a grapefruit thing to the nose that seems on the edge of too fruity for hops, like an actual fruit extract or something in play, but they dont seem to claim it, maybe its the pink on the tap handle making me think that, anyway, there seems like some citra hops in the mix too pulling in this direction, could be simcoe too, as there is some pine that comes out as it warms up a little. no burn or green in the taste which is nice, a little citric twangy linger, and some oily dankness too, but soft and plush in feel from the non barley component of the grain bill, silky even, and carbonated well enough. solid overall. these guys seem to be cranking out quite a few flavors right now, but mostly successful in my limited experience with them...
