Appearance - The beer was black with visible carbonation and a white head crowning the glass.
Smell - Lagered malts came through in the pour.
Taste - The malts were almost chocolatey. There was not much bitterness of the dry aftertaste that usually follows. It was almost like a weak stout. I may have detected the off flavors of diacetyl.
Mouthfeel - The beer was appropriately carbonated.
Overall - it was below average for the style.
