We’ve got our hands on some fresh cones of experimental hops from Saaz region. NŠH02 is a new aromatic variety designed for traditional Czech lagers. 1/4 Saaz in its origin leads to favourable ratio of alpha and beta acids with high farnesene content for pleasant woody and herbal aroma, typical for noble hops. We designed this triple-decocted lager with 100% pilsner floor malt to showcase its full potential.

Copenhagen 23/8 2021. 60 cl can from Ølkassen webshop. A stylized blue and green flower on a metallic grey can.
Pours unclear, pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a light sweet and malty odor mingling with a sharp citric scent. Sweet pale malts, bread and straws. Citrus, grass and grains.
Light carbonation. Thin, watery, tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undertone. Finish is fairly dry.
Refreshing and pretty uncomplicated. As a Pilsner should be.
