We want to enjoy a proper Czech lager even at Christmas, so we prepared this one. It is stronger and fuller thanks to the use of the decoction process and the British light malt Maris Otter, which gives the beer bready and biscuity tones.
We didn't skimp on the hops either, and that's why this lager is significantly hoppy aromatic thanks to the more pronounced late hopping. In addition to the Žatecký polorané červeňák hop, we used the Saaz Late variety, and the result is a beer that is balanced bitter, with the traditional aroma of Czech hops and maybe a little extra citrus and herbs.

Copenhagen 1/2 2026. 50 cl can from Mad & Vin, Magasin, Kbh. K. Tall purple can with the name of beer and brewery in gold. Small white stars.
Pours unclear yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as a thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a strong scent of citrus fruit and grass. A bit sharp. Sweet pale malts. Lemon and freshly mown grass.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a citric streak. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Refreshing and appropriately bitter.
